On May 27, 2008 at approximately 14:00hrs Task Force 32 was dispatched to a dwelling fire on Chestnut Ave. Squrt 32 arrived first due and stretched one 1 3/4 handline through the front door. Quint 33 arrived and started horizontal ventilation. Quint 91 arrived and the irons and can man went inside to assist with Squrt 32 with overhaul and checking for extension. Quint OV and Roof threw a ladder to the roof, cleared out windows and secured the gas on the B side of the dwelling. Quint 91 was back in service within an hour. Photos Courtesy Ken Willson.
On May 26, 2008 the Barrington Fire Company #1 held their Memorial Day services in front of the firehouse. The service was well attended by members and family. The Barrington Fire Company staffs 3 primary pieces of apparatus; Quint 91 (a combination ladder and engine company), Squad 91 (a combination rescue and engine company) and Engine 91. In addition the company houses 2 utility vehicles and the Duty Chief's vehicle, Battalion 91.
