Haddon Heights Apartment Fire

At approximately 2:50pm on January 1, 2008 Task Force 2 was dispatched to 405 White Horse Pike, the Haddon Knolls Apartments for an apartment fire. 210 reported a microwave on fire that has extended to the cabinets above it. Quint 1-1 was first due and stretched an 1 3/4 handline. Engine 213 assisted with fire attack and search while Quint 91 took the truck company assignment. Quint 91 irons and officer, checked for extension on the second floor and vented the apartment directly over the fire apartment. OV Man, Roof, and Chauffeur threw ground ladders to the C division and forced the rear door. Quint 91 OV and Roof man assisted Quint 1-1 with removing the microwave. Quint 91 was back in service withing 30 minutes of dispatch. Photos Courtesy Ken Willson
